“Who Wants to Go to Hackney?”
The celebrated railway historian and author gave a talk to the Hackney Society on 15th December last year at the Newington Green Meeting House. The talk was also streamed online. “Who Wants to Go to Hackney?” explained how railways came to London and their impact on Hackney (or not…)
Christian Wolmar was an engaging speaker and we had good feedback from attendees both in person and online about how interesting and enjoyable they’d found it. As Mr Wolmar said afterwards, the questions showed some audience engagement too.
