Open Day with Albion HiFi

Friday 8 February

Our first Open Day of the new year!  The Old Church is partnering with Albion HiFi to bring to you the first in a series of bi-monthly events.

Albion Hifi Sound is a historic sound system, restored by a team of volunteers, who see themselves as its custodians, with a view for it to be shared with the community and used to celebrate sound system culture with guest DJs and engineers.

The first half of the day is free, from 11 am to 3 pm. We still need you to reserve a place however. The second half of the day, from 4 pm to 11 pm is £4.

Valentine’s Heart Journey; yoga, live cello & cacao

Indulge in the bliss of live cello and the warmth of kind company and cacao. Enjoy a delicious candlelit slow yoga flow, followed by yin, self-massage, heart journeying and meditation by way of the soothing guidance of Natalie C Morrison, one of London’s top yoga and meditation teachers. Leave on a warm, cosy cloud of radiance.

Yoga Ab Alto – Yoga with Strings Attached

Come and practise yoga with music by a live string quartet. After a hit last year, Vinyasa Yoda featuring Ann Pidcock and Estilo String Quartet, are back to offer you another incredible yoga session like no other.

Acknowledging the benefits that music can bring to yoga practice, this experience will develop the relationship between sound, breath and movement by incorporating yoga teaching with live music from a string quartet performing a set of chamber-pop tracks to inspire and invigorate.

Gong Meditation
Wednesday 19 February // 8 pm
Every Gong Bath is a very personal experience, Gong Meditation is one of the easiest and quickest ways to get into a deep meditative state.


Baby Broadway and Baby Gospel
Friday 7 and Thursday 20 // 11 am Join us for an interactive performance of show-tunes and Disney songs at our family concert this February. Baby Broadway is always a huge hit in the community.


Songwriting Circle 
Friday 21st February // 8 pm 12 artists, 1 song each. In the round and unplugged. A stellar evening of new music from the best new talent in the city and beyond. Witness live collaboration and improvisation, breaking the barriers between artist and audience.

For you, It’s an opportunity to see three new works in one exciting evening! The UK’s biggest festival of choreography.
Until March 2020 Ayear-long nationwide arts festival celebrating the indelible contribution of refugees from Nazi-dominated Europe to British culture. Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two, the festival includes exhibitions, concerts, dance and theatre performances, film screenings, walks, lectures and literary events.
