Join us on Monday 2, 9 and 16 of December for our dance and yoga classes for families! A weekly creative movement and dance class for children aged 18 months to four years, and their accompanying adult.Price of £5 per session includes one child with accompanying adult. All children must be accompanied. Additional children or adults £2.50. Maximum two children per adult.

London Improvisors Orchestra

£7, £5 concessions at the doorJoin us at The Old Church for a very special advent gathering of the London Improvisers Orchestra.The London Improvisers Orchestra was born from the embers of Butch Morris’ London Skyscraper tour for the Contemporary Music Network tour in November 1997. Concerts were performed in London, Birmingham, Oxford, Manchester, Bristol and Liverpool. Members of the ensemble decided to develop the project and thus was born the London Improvisers Orchestra.

Wing-It Singers Christmas Concert

The Wing-It Singers are a world music a cappella choir with an eclectic repertoire, specialising in the wonderful harmonies and haunting melodies of traditional songs from Eastern Europe and Georgia. Singing (usually unaccompanied) in three- or four-part harmony, they delight audiences on a regular basis with their beguiling range of songs and vibrant, heart-felt sound.

Money For Old Prose

Money for Old Prose is a gathering of local actors, musicians, poets and performers, showcasing their creative talents for charity. It started in 2007 to raise money for The Old Church. Now in its twelfth year, it is a beloved fixture and continues to bring together wordsmiths and well-wishers with singers and supporters, promising poetry, prose, carols and song, laughter, love and tears. An evening of extraordinary merriment. This year’s event is in memory of Michael Thomas, with proceeds going to Myeloma UK.

Piano playing, pop-song singing, big dickie-bow wearing Mark T Cox returns to The Old Church this December for a special Christmas concert. Join Mark and guests for a one-off evening of songs, piano, comedy, storytelling and excessive amounts of chocolate biscuits! Warm up your voice for the holiday season ahead with Christmas classics from all your favourites including Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Christina, and of course… the festive queen, Anastasia!

Wassail! Candle-lit Carols by Intimate Voices

Intimate Voices present their annual concert of candle-lit carols. We return to our traditional home at St Mary’s Old Church, Stoke Newington Church Street, N16 9ES (that’s the small church next to Clissold Park) for our concert of carols, candles, and festive refreshments.

21 and 22 December, Museum of London Docklands
When the River Thames would freeze over, many years ago, huge celebrations called Frost Fairs were held on the ice. Join us for a weekend of festivities recreating the magic of these special festivals, with interactive games and workshops, enchanting performances and arts and crafts. Plus learn about winter traditions from around the world in this wintry festival for the whole family.
9 to 24 December, Trafalgar Square

Hear festive songs and carols ring out across central London in the countdown to Christmas with Christmas carols in Trafalgar Square. Throughout the build-up to Christmas, more than 40 carol groups each sing for an hour beneath the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square to raise funds for voluntary or charitable organisations.
