At Cafe OTO

Amongst the shows at OTO over the next seven days, Grup Simsek are back for a two-day residency after their sold out show at OTO last summer. Hailed as a Anatolian Psych-pop sensation, with members originating from Turkey, Germany, France, Italy and Great Britain, Grup Şimşek (pronounced « Shimshek ») encapsulates the Outernational generation.

Two extraordinary debut 7″ from Penultimate Press up on the site this week. One from London’s much talked about Triple Negative and another from Manchester’s elusive Parlours. Both brilliant. For those of you who are UK based, heads up that Triple Negative will be making an appearance at Counterflows festival this April and it’s likely to be extraordinary. The Glasgow festival runs between the 4th and 7th April and the lineup includes Mohammad Reza Mortazavi, Ailie Ormston & Tim Fraser, Nicole Mitchell, Tomeka Reid & Alexander Hawkins, Mark Sanders, the music of Bill Wells and Brazil’s MC Carol.

Full listings and all new shows below. We look forward to seeing you here.
