Mayor’s Question Time
Would you like to put your questions on green issues directly to the Mayor? Then come along to the second annual Hackney Mayor’s Question Time, at the Town Hall on Monday, November 26, from 7pm to 9pm. Have your say and join the conversation about the borough.
It’s free to attend but space is limited.

Power to Hackney
Hackney is tackling climate change head on and delivering on its commitment to be the cleanest and greenest council borough. Plans are underway to develop an Energy Company Delivery Board by early 2019.
Hackney’s energy company delivers on the urgent action required to reduce carbon and forms part of the journey towards using renewable energy across all functions by 2050.
The Council plans to utilise solar panels on 50% of Council-owned residential roof space.
It will also drive social change and support vulnerable residents with an estimated 9,700 households in Hackney suffering from fuel poverty.
Save the date – London Upcycling Show
The London Upcycling Show returns this November. Expect practical workshops; repair, reuse and upcycling demonstrations; child-friendly activities and a furniture market full of upcycled gems.
There’s also an upcycling competition in which 25 north London residents will showcase their upcycled furniture to be judged by Ground Force’s Tommy Walsh, upcycling presenter and vlogger Georgina ‘Home Genie’ Burnett, ITV’s ‘Love your Home and Garden’ Kunle Barker and Upcycled Hour founder and ambassador Chris Billinghurst.
The London Upcycling Show will take place at Walthamstow Assembly Hall, Town Hall, Forest Road, E17 4JF on Sunday 18 November 11am – 2pm.
