Hearing Voices
An Evening Concert in Abney Park Chapel
Saturday 10th November at 8pm

HEARING VOICES: an evening concert in Abney Park Chapel by TIC – THE IMPROVISERS’ CHOIR and THE TRANSPIRING BAND. Artistic director: JENNI RODITI.

JENNI RODITI is a composer, conductor and vocalist who combines exquisitely sensitive improvisational skills with spectacular technique. A resumé of her stellar career is available here: http://www.vocaltaichi.com/content/?page_id=77

TIC is a choir Roditi has developed from the very finest vocal improvisers she’s trained over the last three years. They’ve performed all over London (most recently at The South Bank Centre) and were winners in NonClassical’s Battle of the Bands competition in Jan 2018. More details here: https://tictocsing.com/tic/

THE TRANSPIRING BAND is a group of musicians chosen by Roditi to accompany her vocal workshops and concerts. Tonight’s performers will be STEPHAN BARRETT (acoustic objects, clarinet) and SAM ENTHOVEN (found sounds and theremin).

The concert will consist of rehearsed pieces, conducted improvisations and spontaneous creations responding to the sounds of Abney Park.

Join us for a beautiful and unusual evening that will be specific and entirely appropriate to this magnificent location.
