Are you passionate about Abney Park? Have you thought about joining the Trust team?

Abney Park Trust aims to protect and promote the site, provide education, recreation and leisure opportunities and balances needs with local community involvement through transparent management.

We are now looking for several new trustees to help with this.

You would need to:

• devote on average 3 to 4 hours a week
• act as part of a team with shared aims
• lead and participate in improving areas of activity

We’re particularly interested in people with interest and/or expertise in the following:

• Finance / accounting
• IT and website development and management
• Fundraising
• HR
• Office management

You do not need to be an expert though as we often call on the help of professional or voluntary specialist advisers. But you do need to be willing to learn enough to ask the right questions and decide what to do with the information. It can be a good way to gain experience.

If your application is accepted we will arrange a mutually convenient time for a meeting where we can explain more about the role and the process and learn more about each other.
If you don’t think this is right opportunity for you now, but would like to join our band of volunteers who help marshal theatre events, in the advice centre and shop, on an ad hoc basis on  the Trust stall at events, or weekly landscaping volunteering on Thursdays, please do also get in touch with ‘Volunteer’ in the title or pop into the visitor’s centre.
