Cafe OTO

Hi there

Amongst the shows over the next week, we’re hugely excited to host a residency featuring two of the most consistently mindblowing outsider groups performing today! Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, Vibracathedral Orchestra are the totemic ensemble of contemporary British outsider music, comprised of an unrivalled who’s who of the UK audio underground. Guttersnipe have been performing together for far less time but since forming in 2014, they’ve forged an incendiary reputation for their incredible live shows that have resulted in numerous gushing comparisons but really sound like nothing else.

This week’s digital release is a set from eclectic and unconventional improvisor/guitarist/banjo player Eugene Chadbourne. Doc Chad draws on a range of forms – from free jazz, country and blue grass and all out noise – and his idiosyncratic and uncompromising approach to music has made him a living legend.

New show announcements this week include a two-day residency for beloved Glaswegian group, The Pastels, and an all-day celebration of Pauline Oliveros.

Full listings and all new shows below. We look forward to seeing you here.
