Late Winter activities
This is the season for tree-care, pruning and woodland management, beginning at Daubeney Fields. You can also help all year with growing young trees at the Community Tree Nursery (Hackney Marsh) on the last Saturday of each month, and every Tuesday and Friday.
Feb 3rd, Saturday Daubeney Fields, Clapton Park. Fruit tree pruning. 10am – 2pm. Map
We are making our way around Hackney’s Community Orchards pruning fruit trees in parks. Join us at Daubeney Fields and learn about fruit tree pruning.
Feb 4th, Sunday Wick Woodland. It’s coppicing time again!

Feb 10th, Saturday Hackney Downs. Young tree care. 10am – 2pm. Map
Tree Musketeers have planted over 250 trees on Hackney Downs over 20 years. We will be looking after some of the youngest trees. Meet 10am on the Old Bowling Green or find us in the park.

Feb 16th, Friday Mabley Green. Tree planting with Tree Musketeers and LB Hackney Parks staff. Part of the Mayor of London’s initiative to increase the number of trees in London.
