At Cafe OTO

Amongst the shows over the next week, poet, novelist, musician and lecturer Anthony Joseph curates Frequency of Magic. Echoing the free and politically engaged jazz and poetic experiments of the Black Arts Movement, Archie Shepp and Sun Ra, and bringing it fearlessly into the now. This is a night of innovative poetics and free jazz with a live band featuring saxophones, electronics, two bassists, and drums, with the band improvising and poets improvising around each other.

This week we’re pleased to add seven new titles to the digital shop from the great Fataka label, including releases from Steve NobleEvan ParkerPat ThomasSeymour Wright and Phil Minton.

New show announcements this week include a two-day residency for Norwegian label, SOFA, plus updates for forthcoming Kammer Klang shows.
