Hear about the plans for further environmental improvements in the Nevill and Walford Road area:
• A number of road closures in the Wordsworth Road area were made permanent in October 2017. This followed an assessment of the impacts of the scheme. On balance the scheme was shown to have delivered a number of environmental benefits.
• The Council is committed to helping to address issues remaining in the area, particularly in relation to the roads which have seen increases in traffic due to closures delivered.
• A consultation has just launched on 2 possible options to help tackle these issues. Full details of these options are available online (consultation.hackney.gov.uk/streetscene/walford-road-area-environmental-improvements), where people can give their views towards them.
• Local Councillors have asked for a Ward Forum to be held where local residents can hear more about the options and ask any questions of the Council’s Transport Officers.
