“Hackney an Accessible Place for Everyone”

Hackney Council is launching a campaign,
“Hackney an Accessible Place for Everyone”

Being disabled can sometimes make getting around difficult, but in Hackney the Council is trying to change that and is looking for 20 disabled people to get involved with making Hackney accessible for everyone.

As part of this campaign the Council is organising five guided visits (21 June to 17 July) to local areas experiencing rapid change and development. The local disabled residents (or those who have difficulty moving around), Councillors and council staff will explore the areas and make suggestions on how access can be improved.
