Seeking public representatives to ensure patient voice heard reshaping Hackney services: Application deadline 12 May

Dear Healthwatch Hackney member and supporter,

Do you have experience using health and care services in Hackney? Are you interested in having a say on how they’re reshaped in the future? We are looking for public representatives to join four groups (called care workstreams) that will bring together health and social care services in the following areas:

  • Unplanned care
  • Planned care
  • Prevention
  • Early years and children

These workstreams are part of a partnership of health and social care organisations including City and Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Hackney Council and Homerton Hospital that are working together to improve health and wellbeing outcomes. The public representatives will play an important role ensuring the work carried out in each care workstream includes service user perspectives and residents are at the centre of the local health and care system. If you have an interest in these roles but feel you need additional training to meet the requirements, we are also interested in speaking to you about how we could support you in the role. Any questions can be emailed to info@healthwatchhackney.co.uk.

How to apply
For more information about the roles and care workstreams please download the role description. We are aiming to have two public representatives on each care workstream. Interested candidates should submit a completed application form, personal statement, CV  (or short summary of your work experience), and equality form to info@healthwatchhackney.co.uk for the attention of Jon Williams. The closing date for applications has been extended to 5pm Friday 12 May. Appointments will be made following a short panel interview against the person specification.

Best wishes,
Healthwatch Hackney
