East London for Europe closes down

Final email from East London for EuropeAs we reported last month, East London for Britain is closing down and new groups have been created

Open Britain East London is now up and running. You can follow us on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/OBEastLondon. In light of the upcoming UK general election, we may not begin our own campaigning activity until after 8 June. Look out for more information about our first community meeting on Twitter. You’ll also receive an e-mail about our plans from Open Britain if you’ve signed up at http://www.open-britain.co.uk/ with an East London postcode.

Meanwhile, for the next couple of weeks, East London Network Against Brexit will prioritise a campaign of voter registration primarily targeted at youth. We also be sending a questionnaire to candidates in our area asking their attitudes to a second referendum etc. Join us in the Facebook group of the same name or the one called Registering Youth.

Thanks for your support so far. We hope you will join us on this next part of the journey!

Best wishes and farewell,

The East London for Europe core team

PS All mentions of “East London” above refer to the area comprised of the seven London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbrige, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
