unless it can raise £15,000 via its crowdfunder campaign.
Founded in 2010 and with over 18,000 listeners, Reel Rebels Radio crosses a limitless range of genres from punk to flamenco, grime to swing, film & TV music, electronica and everything in between.
We have a strong focus on intergenerational and community exchanges, and our specialist shows include presentations by people with learning disabilities, shows by artists with mental health issues, intergenerational discussions and programmes about Sexual Health.
We host the annual Stoke Newington Community Feast, a free buffet supported by local supermarkets, restaurants, food organisations and local people for everyone to share. This brings people together in an enjoyable setting, improving the relationships we have within the community.
We are located just off Church Street, N16, and provide a space where local people can come and be creative, learn how to present a radio show, develop DJ’ing skills and get to grips with online radio broadcasting.
We also have two fully equipped music rehearsal studios for hire and put on events at our wonderful space and at other local venues, most of which are charity fundraisers.
We face an uncertain future. Cuts to public funding mean we’re now short of money to carry on running the station. We desperately need to raise £15,000 to keep the station running & help take it in to self-sufficiency so we can continuing the work we do.
Nothing is impossible! We believe in what we do, so we’re asking for help by people donating to our Crowdfunder campaign:
