HO HO HO!!…Your Stokey Food Assembly is getting ready for Xmas!!

All this cold weather is making us think about Crimbo and this is all very well since we have two exciting announcements to make…
1. a yummy new producer
and
2. an unmissable supper club!!! 
Good things always come in three’s so it only makes sense that after Epic Pies and My Italian Cook, this week we see a new addition to our rosette of wonderful new producers.

Nigel Barrow makes his unique Christmas puddings in small batches with top ingredients in a local Hackney kitchen.
Nigel told us: “I used to be a professional chef. Over 20 years ago I started making my pudds because I didn’t like any of the puddings you could buy and I have been selling them in shops all over London and on the South Coast for 10 years now.
They are good because I only use really good quality ingredients  and hardly any breadcrumbs. I mix them all by hand. 
My pudds are supplied wrapped in muslin – just remove the label and then steam as they are in the muslin for a minimum of two hours. Then remove the muslin and greaseproof paper and serve…with brandy butter, brandy cream or whatever you like. They are very good in the summer with vanilla ice cream.

Get your hands on one of these tasty jewels and you won’t be disappointed. Veggies also catered for!!

For those of you who remember the founding ‘mothers’ of our Stokey Assembly, Alessandra’s new ‘foodie creature’ is an Italian inspired pop-up, Chuffed & Stuffed.

After its successful September launch, Chuffed & Stuffed is now organising at multi course Italian Christmas feast. 

The three nights will be held at Palm2 – a special venue in the heart of Hackney and just in time to celebrate the end of the year with your colleagues or loved ones.
Chuffed & Stuffed will be creating the perfect atmosphere to immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas, while sharing a delicious, warm and seasonal winter multi-course meal
Your ticket will include a drink on arrival and then you’ll enjoy a 4-course meal and a cheese board with dried fruits to share. More drinks can be purchased on the night and there will be a professional mixologist creating some magic cocktails for you.

The menu has been carefully designed by chef Anton Petrov, and supported by the two Ales behind the pop-up.

Anton is the CEO & Founder at Joyusfood, currently teaching at Demuths Cookery School and Made in Hackney and has previously worked as Chef at InSpiral andVanilla Black. Anton is incurably curious about what he puts in his mouth and what he sources as a forager.
