Cafe OTO

Hi there

Amongst the shows over the next seven days, we host a two-day residency with Swedish group, Träd, Gräs och Stenar. Pioneers of DIY culture, Träd, Gräs och Stenar emerged out of the psychedelic scene of the 70’s with a sound that finds kinship in a multitude of genres from krautrock to early minimalism, whilst remaining defiantly Swedish and politically-conscious.

This week’s digital download is a set from Ora Clementi – the long-form work of duo James Rushford and crys cole. Thick with the past and an uneasy shuffling about in the present, listening to Ora Clementi is both peaceful and unsettling – sort of like being alone in the cinema.

All of this week’s listings and newly announced shows below.

Hope to see you here.

DIGITAL RELEASE:

ORA CLEMENTI – 1.6.16

£6 (£5 Venue Members) /
Digital Members: Download with credits

Long-form work of duo James Rushford and crys cole. Thick with the past and an uneasy shuffling about in the present, listening to Ora Clementi is both peaceful and unsettling – sort of like being alone in the cinema. Subliminal narratives speak from just behind the curtain and melodies whistle momentarily through the forgotten pipe organ. Stay till the end credits and you might just cry.

Available as 320k MP3 or 24 bit FLAC
