At Cafe OTO

Hi there

Amongst the shows over the next seven days, Evan Parker and David Toop present the third of their Sharpen Your Needles performances. In a deep listening session interspersed with ruminations and the barest amount of information they play highlights from their personal vinyl collections of music from Korea, Africa, Japan, Tibet, India, Brazil, Java, Papua New Guinea and all points elsewhere.

Amongst the new announcements this week is a show from Japanese electronic artist,Merzbow. No other artist casts so large a shadow over the genre of noise – with a vast discography and uncompromising approach that has spanned over three decades, Masami Akita is an undisputed master in his field and we’re hugely excited to welcome him to OTO for the first time.

All of this week’s listings and newly announced shows below.

Hope to see you here.
