Things get radical at this new basement venue. Flying the flag for revolution will be Inua Ellams, Adam Kammerling, Jonny Fluffypunk, Amy Acre, Karen Hayley and Sophie Fenella. Plus DJ sets until 2am from Nicky Tesco (The Members), Sterling Roswell (Spacemen 3) and John the Revelator. Basically, we’re Friday’s unofficial festival afterparty. Event curated by Jody Porter, poetry editor of the Morning Star.

★ Amy Acre ★ is a writer and performer from London. Her pamphlet, Where We’re Going, We Don’t Need Roads, was published by flipped eye publishing and selected as the PBS Autumn 2015 Pamphlet Choice
★ AK Blakemore ★ was born in south London in 1991. She was named a Foyle Young Poet of the Year in 2007 and 2008, and has performed atSecret Garden Party and Latitude Festival. Her work has been published in a number of journals, zines and anthologies, with her first pamphlet released via Nasty Little Press
★ Inua Ellams ★ was born in Nigeria in 1984 and is an internationally touring poet, playwright, performer, graphic artist and designer. He has published three pamphlets of poetry, and his first play The 14th Tale (a one-man show which he performed) was awarded a Fringe First at the Edinburgh International Theatre Festival and his third, Black T-Shirt Collection ran at England’s National Theatre
★ Sophie Fenella ★ is poet and a performer from London. She is part of the Burn After Reading poetry collective run by Jacob Sam-La Rose, and has performed at Boom Town, Secret Garden Party, Bang Said The Gunand National Poetry Day Live
★ Jonny Fluffypunk ★ has been dragging his art around the circuit for over 15 years. Fusing bittersweet autobiography, political disillusionment and surreal whimsy in an act which has established him as a favourite at gigs, festivals and housing benefit offices across Britain
★ Karen Hayley ★ is an award-winning writer, comedy actress and voice-over artist with over twenty-five years’ experience working in TV, feature film, theatre, radio, voice-over, and live performance
★ Adam Kammerling ★ cut his teeth at the open-mics and rap battles of the Brighton hip-hop scene. He is the Brighton Hammer and Tongue Slam Champion 2010, the Hackney Slam Champion 2011 and the UK Slam Champion 2012. Adam delivers workshops in schools and has worked with numerous London charities promoting spoken word and rap as positive and healthy forms of self-expression
★ Niall O’Sullivan ★ is a poet, educator and event host. He has published three collections of poetry with flipped eye and has served residencies for the Wimbledon Championships, the South Kilburn Estate and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Niall currently hosts the Poetry Unplugged open mic at Covent Garden’s Poetry Cafe and teaches Poetry and Performance at London Metropolitan University
★ Sterling Roswell (aka Rosco) ★ former drummer of Spacemen 3, now a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ. His most recent record, The Call of the Cosmos, is available from Fire Records
★ Nicky Tesco ★ was the founding member of punk group The Members, best known for their 1979 single The Sound of the Suburbs which reached number 12 in the UK charts
