In less than a week, on Monday 30 November, at Chats Palace (42-44 Brooksby’s Walk, E9 6DF) Hackney’s diverse communities are coming together to discuss how we can support refugees and new migrants in the borough. Doors open for informal refreshments at 7pm, and we will start promptly at 7:30pm
There will be speakers from faith, political and community backgrounds, but the main question we will explore, in smaller groups, will be:
what can the council do to support refugees and new migrants,
what can we, as a community, do to show our support, and
what can we do individually?
If you believe that we should work together to support those who clearly need our help, then come along and join the discussion.
