N16 Writers and Readers at the Stoke Newington Bookshop on Monday November 9th

Date: 4 November 2015 16:47:40 GMT
In the next event organised by the “N16 Writers and Readers at Stoke Newington Bookshop” on Monday November 9th, English lecturer Jon Day talks about his recent book Cyclogeography about his years as a bike courier in London. The Guardian called it “gripping, playful and unmissable”. It is from the exciting new publisher Notting Hill Editions who will be represented as well.

(A quick reminder of next month’s event on Monday 14th December: Christmas Dinner at the San Daniele and please let me know by the end of November if you’re interested and I’ll send further details soon.)

We don’t book. Just come and bring as many people as you like.

As usual, the starting-time is 8 and the venue is the Stoke Newington Bookshop, 159 Stoke Newington High St, London N16. Tel: 020 7249 2808. There is a charge of £2.50 per meeting and a glass of wine is offered.

Afterwards, anyone who is able to is welcome to join our guest for a meal at an inexpensive South Indian restaurant called the Ruchi which is just round the corner from the Bookshop. The Ruchi is on Stoke Newington Church Street just before it meets the High Street.

The Bookshop runs its own series of literary events and if you wish to receive news of them, go to the website which is stokenewingtonbookshop.co.uk and just enter your name and email where it says “Subscribe”.
