Among the shows over the next seven days we welcome back one of the greatest big bands of all time – The Sun Ra Arkestra. Operating under the direction of saxophonist Marshall Allen – who celebrated his 90th year in 2014 – the Arkestra have made Cafe OTO their home in London and this will be their eighth residency here. With such a massive, joyous songbook and the kind of well organised chaos that sees their legendary 3 hour sets move deftly between rolling grooves, sing-along chants and atonal blasts of mischievous brass, the Arkestra remain one of the most unmissable live acts today.

Connect with your inner Peace Garden in a workshop combining yoga exercises and deep listening, led by ambient music pioneer Laraaji.

Assisted by sound-healing Reiki channel Arji OceAndanda, allow Laraaji to guide you through call-and-response chanting, exploratory language, gentle stretching and laughter breathing postures, working towards Savasana – a pose of total relaxation where you begin to become more aware of your breath and mind itself.
