Learn green woodworking at Abney Park

ONE-DAY SPOON CARVING WORKSHOP

£60, including wood and use of tools, payable in advance
If you’ve done some carving before, or want to try out green woodwork without committing to the four-day intro course, we also have a series of one day spoon carving courses coming up. These will be taught by Joseph Bloor, who carved a spoon every day last year for his 365 spoons project. Each one day course will include: selecting wood, spoon design, splitting, axe technique, knife grips and knife finishing.

Come and learn green woodworking in Abney Park. Over four weekly sessions, you will be given an introduction to using an axe and a knife, and sharpening both, so that you can continue with green woodwork at home or at any of our free open workshops, at Abney Park every Thursday, where wood and tools are always provided.
