From Rio Cross Residents’ Association
Brewdog Bars were recently granted a license to open a bar at 92-100 Stoke Newington Road, in the premises occupied by Beyond Retro.
As predicted at the time by the Rio Cross Residents Association, who objected to the original license, they have now applied for a variation of their premises license to increase the space in the licensed area. Given the very large size of these premises, an enlarged bar on this site has the potential to add still further to the cumulative impact of alcohol-fuelled anti-social behaviour in the area. What is envisaged is not a quiet pub. Brewdog is part of a national chain of bars described on their website as ‘Beer Meccas, Hop Temples, Cathedrals of Malt, Beacons of Hope, Laughter and Occasional Hell-Raising in the Citadel’.
