An application has been submitted by Mr Byron for ‘a premises licence for plays and films from 12:00 to 22:45 Mon to Thur, 12:00 to 23:00 Fri and Sat and from 12:00 to 22:00 Sun and performance of dance and supply of alcohol from 10:00 to 22:45 Mon to Thur, 10:00 to 23:45 Fri and Sat and from 10:00 to 22:45 Sun’.
If granted, this license would effectively transform what was supposed to be only a restaurant into yet another club, in an area that is already a centre of night-time anti-social behaviour. The premises occupies part of a building that backs onto residential properties in John Campbell Road, as well as neighbouring other homes in Gillet Square and Boleyn Road.
