This is a guide to appealing against a decision to reduce your housing benefit because of under-occupation. Sometimes referred to as the “bedroom tax”.
Although it is a Scottish document, the Consumer Action Group believe that it applies to the whole of the UK.
The grounds for appeal are based on judicial review cases now in process but even if they are successful, unless the appeal is put in now, they cannot be relied on . There is a severe time limit to appeal.
