The Leisure Hive at the White Rabbit Friday 29th March

The White Rabbit Stoke Newington

Friday 29th March 10.00 pm

We at The Leisure Hive have taken a short break to get new batteries for our laser guns and take our gold spandex home to mum for washing (seriously, this is true).

We are now delighted to announce that on Friday 29th March we’ll be descending on the basement of the sparkling Stoke Newington nightspot White Rabbit Cocktail Club. Wheeeee!

ARE YOU READY for more jelly-baby-fuelled boogie mayhem? Prepare to dance the night away to the very finest new wave, synth pop, funk, electro, progressive rock, disco, classic soundtracks, library grooves, pop oddities and other spaced-out cosmic danceable goodness, mixed with love by your glamorous resident DJs Hedonism Bot and Dellamorte.

GET THERE EARLY. We open at 10, we close at 2, there will be drinks deals and splendid tunes from the get-go, and foil star stickers for glittering up your eager faces.

If you’re familiar with the Hive, you’ll know what we’re all about. If you’re a newcomer, or need a reminder:

The Leisure Hive is a shimmering retrofuturist science-fiction disco.

The Leisure Hive likes wobbly cardboard scenery, lasers, glitter, tinfoil, synthesisers, robots, spiders from Mars, excessively long striped scarves and losing your heart to a starship trooper. The Leisure Hive also likes dancing, and sherbet flying saucers.

Bring your bubble guns and your best robotic moves, bring your friends, dress up in your shiniest clothes if you feel so inclined, and don’t forget it’s FREE ENTRY all night…

WE PLAY: Ultravox / Queen / Duran Duran / Roxy Music / Can / Frank Zappa / Chic / Alan Hawkshaw / Justice / Herbie Hancock / Jeff Wayne / OMD / Chromeo / Sparks / The Human League / Van der Graaf Generator / Chaka Khan / Freeez / New Order / Telex / Parliament / David Bowie / Rush / Prince / Hot Chip / Devo / Goblin / Donna Summer / Japan / The Alan Parsons Project / Grace Jones / Yes / New Musik / Afrika Bambaataa / RAH Band / Giorgio Moroder / The BBC Radiophonic Workshop / and many more besides…
